Science - Recycling Project

On Monday, September 26th, students will begin their Recycling Project.  They will have necessary papers that are to be completed at home in the next two weeks.  Students are to keep all papers in their project folders.  Students know that they will only receive one copy of their papers so it is extremely important they stay very organized.  While we will be learning about the environment at school, this project will be completed solely at home.

The Recycling Project consists of completing three worksheets regarding recycling and how they can help reduce, reuse, and recylce in their own home and environment in which they live.  Other than the three worksheets, the students must create a recycling project from recyclable materials at home.  The project they create must serve a function.  The possibilities are endless.  In the past, I have had students create earbud holders, a "one man band," jewelry organizer, etc.  There is no requirement the number of materials they have to use.  The only requirements are that the completed project must be no more than 2.5' wide or 3 feet high.  (This is to conserve space to showcase all student projects).

The Recycling Project and all paperwork is due Friday, October 12, 2017.  The students will have all necessary paperwork in their green project folders, but you can also download it here.

This is one of my favorite projects and the kids always have so much fun designing, developing, and executing their unique ideas. Thank you, in advance, for ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT.  You have all been a tremendous help this year!

Thank you!
