Mrs. Bible's Third Grade

Hello Everyone,

     I am so excited to be returning for my 9th year to Holy Trinity Catholic School!  I absolutely love being a 3rd grade teacher!  Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself.  I grew up in Kansas City, KS and attended St. Patrick's Catholic School.  My husband, 2 sons, and I live in Shawnee, KS and are parishioners of Good Shephard Parish.  In 2005, I received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education through Pittsburg State University and obtained a second Master's Degree for Technology Integration (again through PSU) in May, 2012.  I taught in the Kansas City, KS School District for 7 years.  I have experience teaching both 3rd and 5th grade.  Though it was a difficult decision to leave my students in Kansas Ctiy, KS, I felt that it was time for me to give back to the education that helped shaped who I am today when I accepted the technology teaching position at HTS.

     I married my husband, Frank, on June 6, 2008.  We have a wonderful dog named Daphne who is completely and undeniably spoiled.  In 2012, my husband and I were blessed with our first child.  He was born on September 26, 2012 and his name is Clark!  Clark became a big brother on February 26, 2016 to our second son, Nolan.  I have one younger brother, Scott, who married his wife Desiree in October, 2010.  Marcus, their son, is my 6 year old nephew, and Julia, their daughter, is my 3 year old niece.  My older sister, Susan, and brother-in-law, Bryan, have two kids.  I am an aunt to Ethan (14 years old) and Nicholas (10 years old).  Ethan will be in 8th Grade at Holy Trinity this year and Nicholas will be in 4th grade.  My parents, Katie and Carroll, have been married for over 45 years and have been wonderful role models in my life. 

     I have many hobbies and activities.  I have run one marathon and many half marathons.  My favorite sport is volleyball.  I always look forward to the annual faculty vs. 8th grade students volleyball game every year.  I love to travel.  I have been to Mexico, Italy, Costa Rica, Honduras, Belize, Guatemala and I have even visited the Holy Land!  I was blessed to go to Israel in the summer 2014!!!!  My dream is to go to Peru to see the ruins at Macchu Picchu, as well as, Spain.  I love adventure and skiing is one way I can fulfill that excitement.

    By asking the Holy Spirit to guide you, taking risks, and believing in yourself, you can do anything you set your mind to.  I'm looking forward to another exciting year at HTS and getting to know my students on a deeper level!
